Do you need Piano Refurbishing or Rebuilding?

Piano Refurbishing usually means restoring your piano to a like new condition, but it does not have to be moved. The insides, keys and pedals of your piano are taken to my shop to be refurbished, re-calibrated and restored to factory settings. Some of the parts of your piano are meant to be replaced, but many of the  parts can be refurbished. Refurbishing usually costs significantly less than rebuilding. You can usually expect to pay about 1/3 the price of rebuilding and your piano will be good for many years to come. I can usually have your piano completed in 4 - 6 weeks.

Piano Rebuilding usually  means returning your piano to a new condition that can involve brand new parts inside and out. It also usually includes refinishing your piano so it lookes like new. This is usually very expensive and can cost as much or more than buying a new piano. Your piano will be moved to the location of the rebuilder and it is usually several months before it will be completed. If your piano is a family heirloom, or it has sentimental value it may well be worth the cost to you.

At Piano Tuning Repair we do not rebuild pianos. We focus on refurbishing them. If you are working with limited funds this may be a good option for you.
